The only thing different from our go is that the tanks got the two adds on top of alysrazor after interrupting their first attack - which allowed the mage to spread his dots, incl. Combustion on the adds. Which essentially doubles/triples your dps. But it's still just dmg done to adds that despawn at the end of the phase anyway.

Yeah its effectively pointless. If i remember correctly we downed Alysrazor after 2 cycles. Even if Erik did double the dps it's not like we'd down her in 1 cycle.
Of course no harm is trying to improve DPS anyway. I'm guessing HC Alysrazor will be far less forgiving.
