Well its not mechanical as far as i can see. I wouldn't get a regular keyboard after using a mechanical keyboard.

I did use to have a mechanical IBM, noisy as well but very nice to type on. Not really have a lot of money to spend now tho.

I would approve all of Logitechs gaming series keyboards. The mechanic keyboards have their advantages, but tbh I just find the clickity-clack annoying (to be even more honest, I actually don't know if they make that sound anymore).

It's all about feel - personally I prefer the regular rubber dome keyboards and among those I think Logitech makes some of the most durable and high quality ones.

The programmable keys are ok - I don't use them for much outside of /roll 1337, instant login button and the likes, but some people probably figured out how to put them to better use.

I'm using the Logitech G510 myself - that's the non-color LCD version. Like the programmable keys the LCD isn't a neccessity, but it's nice for things like showing who's speaking on Ventrilo/Mumble.

I mainly just want a new keyboard and the backlight appeals to me as i don't have very good light here. this g105 is up for <300kr at proshop atm so that seems a bit of a steal.

I use the programable keys on my blackwidow for auto milling/disenchanting/prospecting. Useful although frowned upon by blizzard.

Same as Soren I have been using a Logitech g110 for the last few years, used the macro keys for all sorts including programming my wow password into one of them. Good keyboard though some of the keys have recently started to bind.
