...sort of - there are no plans to become a serious raiding guild, but a big chunk of the old crew is coming back to play Classic.
We haven't decided which server to play on yet (but it will most likely be Mograine (PvP) on Alliance side) - will be updated once the game is live*.
If you're interested send me a PM for Discord access and join us for some old school shit and giggles!
* Mograin (PvP) Alliance side it is!

Blackhand Heroic is dead - sadly, so is Frenzy.
Recruiting on Doomhammer was never an easy task - growing from a 10-man to 20-man raiding team even less so. After several weeks with roster issues and too few raiders to raid Mythic, we have decided to throw the towel in the ring.
Thanks to all the members of Frenzy who've been in Frenzy through the years - you made Frenzy a great place to be in and we wouldn't have been here without you!

Halfway through the first week of Throne of Thunder - one third through the raid. Jin'rohk was an easy one-shot and Horridon didn't take much time either - but things starting slowing down a bit after that.
Nonetheless we killed off both the Council of Elders and Tortos as well and Megaera isn't looking too bad (yeah, I jinxed us now).

The last week before the patch we decided to go all out on heroic Amber Shaper Un'sok (*cough* mostly because the outlook of double attenuation from heroic Zor'lok doesn't agree well with our raiders, but that's a story for another time).
It required a bit of extra effort in the form of an extra raid day, but we managed to get him down yesterday:
That brings us to 11/16 HC in tier 14, which were're pretty happy with.
And on that bombshell... Time for Throne of Thunder!

After our heroic Lei Shi kill a couple days ago we advanced to server second:
Well, technically it depends on which progress site you visit - but being the second guild on the server to reach 10/16 HC I think it's fair to say we're server second!
(Regardless of WoWProgress' somewhat weird ranking when there's multiple raids in a tier.)

Frenzy is back in business after a nice long break over Christmas/New Year.
Everyone came back with all their fingers and eyes intact (to my knowledge at least - I haven't noticed anyone playing particulary worse than normal), so we should be ready for some kills in the new year!
Before the break we rounded the year off with two heroic kills: Feng the Accursed (screenshots have gone M.I.A.) and Gara'jal the Spiritbinder:
And some oooold news that I forgot to post - heroic Stone Guard kill shot:

After a bit of messing around with Tsulong we managed to kill him on our second day and quickly downed Lei Shi as well.
Anticipated Sha of Fear to be a bigger challenge, but took a surprisingly low amount of pulls as well.
Overall a quite easy raid compared to Heart of Fear. Either way, Frenzy has now cleared all tier 14 normal mode content - heroic modes await!

After a couple nights of wiping and getting the hang of Elegon we returned and killed in without too much trouble yesterday:
Next up was the Will of the Emperor - on paper actually not the most complex of fight, but the last boss of the raid, so probably still quite a challenge.
...not so much, really. The fight actually seemed easy (at least from a tank point of view - our healers might say something different). Either way, dodging devastations for massive damage = fun!
Next week: Heroic modes!

Mogu'shan Vaults has been released and as a lot of other guilds we've paid a visit to the raid.
The first two kills went down rather quickly:
Fairly simple in terms of tactics yet not completely faceroll - a nice start for a raid instance.
Gara'jal proved to be a bit more challenging, but he too went down leaving us with a few tries for The Spirit Kings (which, to be honest, seemed pretty easy - or maybe we just got a lucky combination. Time will tell):
Overall Mogu'shan Vaults is surprisingly hard for a starting raid in a new expansion - not that Frenzy can't handle that - but the question is, (when?) will Blizzard give in to the pressure of less focused guilds?
Either way, raiding in Mists of Pandaria seems promising so far - and that's not just compared to Dragon Soul.

Long overdue one might say - recruiting on Doomhammer is a slow moving business (zZzz).
Not really a particulary hard feat with the 20% nerf (once we could gather a decent group) and the Madness of Deathwing kill followed less than a week later.
Nonetheless it's still Dragon Soul heroic cleared and just in time for some Diablo III madness, rawr!

And as Erik mentioned, we also got Hangen some sexeh daggers:

I actually bothered to write a description the same night we killed the boss, but Soren is too lazy to add the picture to it and the post has been sitting there, unpublished, for a week now. So I say: Fuck Soren. I'll make my own killshot.
Edit by Soren: Mouseover to see Eriks original kill shot.
Anyway, after a rather messy Christmas and new-year period we've gone back to raiding on our regular schedule and started it off brilliantly with another heroic kill, which makes us the third on the server to kill Yor'Sahj.
Unfortunately, we had Zon'ozz Heroic zto crush our good mood.
But before I forget, I hope you all have a great 2012 filled with epic loot and naked pixellated women.

Ah, look at all those sexeh purple birds!
Most of us weren't very eager to wipe on Ragnaros heroic for the last remaining weeks of patch 4.2, so we went for the Glory of the Firelands Raider achievement instead. None of the achievements required were that difficult and it was definitely a nice change of pace and tactics.
We would've taken the screenshot a week earlier, but two raiders were still missing one achievement, so we got theirs after the reset.
But do they care about Erik? No, they mock Erik, because he hasn't got the Destroyer's End title, because Erik has a life.

Oh yeah, we killed Heroic Baleroc. A long time ago.
Pyjama tried to write a Google optimized news post, but it stunk up the place, so I rewrote it. Now it's more boring. Awesome, +1 Woodgnome.
Here's what he actually did write:
"Why the f00k does Baleroc have a bigger cock sword than me? It's unfair, I hate this game and I also hate Woodgnome with his huge dorf cock sword! I'll just go play with my sexy naked nightelf in bikini licking peanut butter off kittens".

The headline obviously has nothing to do with the actual news post apart from "night elf" and "4/7 Firelands HC". But come on, who's going to click links containing those words if they show up on Google? That's right, noone! So I threw in a couple extra "interesting" words that will attract just the right kind of viewers, oh yes.
So anyway, after killing Alysrazor it was time to focus on a new boss and we had some goes on Baleroc and Majordomo Staghelm heroic. Staghelm proved to be the easier out of the two and we killed him in less than 1½ hour total, which takes us to 4/7 heroic Firelands.
Stay tuned for Baleroc news and more naked night elves!

Alysrazor - the green dragon corrupted and reborn as a fire hawk. Back from the pile of ashes we left her like in normal mode - only to be killed anew (what a failer, lol).
Heroic Alysrazor is definitely one of the more chaotic fights in Firelands - but we killed her with style. Here's how you can do it too:
Heroic Alysrazor 10 man how to
You want to bring 2 healers, 2 tanks and a balanced set of damage dealers. Absolutely no classes capable of combat ressurection or more than 2 reliable interrupters. Safety nets are for pussies!
Less than halfway into the fight you want to ask one of the damage dealers to play with fire - the tornados created by Alysrazor are always good for this purpose. Death may follow.
If you don't fancy that, we can recommend roasting a healer and maybe a second damage dealer two thirds into the fight by playing with lava worms. However, players are hard to roast properly - using the firestorm created by Alysrazor in heroic mode is by far your best choice.
Brushfires should only be used if you have no other options as they don't preserve the rich flavors and also tend to overcook the players.
To avoid things getting a bit too boring near the end of the fight, you want to have another two damage dealers and one of the tanks die for shit and giggles. Don't worry, it's perfectly safe and dots will take care of the rest.
There you have it, Heroic Alysrazor 10 man how to - the stylish way - the Frenzy way!

Not only did we kill heroic Shannox, we also killed heroic Lord Rhyolith:
Granted, Shannox was last week, but who cares, two kill shots in one news post makes us look that much more awesome, right? Riiiight?
On a different note, cleaning up after we killed Rhyolith we managed to get Ragnar-O's by accident (that's the best kind of achievements). Yes, it was messy o_O
All in all that brings us into top 10 on Doomhammer - good work my little minions!
Also, don't forget to check out our recruitment status if you are a death knight/druid tank with a DPS offspec.

Even in his own realm,
Surrounded by fire and destruction,
Minions of the flame intent on your demise,
He stood no chance,
Against the might of our fiery ginger beards.
Yes, yes the bitch is down. All Cataclysm normal mode content cleared.
It took a little while to get him down because suddenly everyone's holidays overlapped, but we got enough sign-ups for a raid and everyone was fired up to clear Firelands. (See what I did there?)
Ragnaros is a pretty cool encounter and not that difficult as long as everyone keeps their heads cool.
Time to get started on heroic mode content - and hopefully one of our hunters will soon be using Shannox's severed head as a helmet.

New frontpage news? Have we killed Ragnaros?
No, no we haven't.
Getting close to killing him though. I'm confident we'll kill him next time we get all the right people together.
And that brings us to the topic of this frontpage update - Like many other guilds we've got our own little summer blues going on. With some people off for holidays and others busy with other stuff we're taking it a bit easier the next two weeks. We're still raiding ofcourse, but with 6/7 in one night and not the right setup or amount of people for Raggy we may just mess around a bit with alt runs or heroic BWD/BoT runs.
As for me, I've enjoyed a nice day at the beach with the lovely RimmRob.

Oh lol, it's a Night Elf.
Oh snap, it's a scorpion.
Oh shit, it's a cat.
Usually Night Elves aren't that hot - but this one was quite literally very hot. We spent a part of our evening wiping on this boss, mostly to set up some decent cooldown rotations and get to know Majordomo's abilities. Turned out to be a relatively easy kill.
Also, Kill-Picture does not accurately display those involved in the kill. The boss was actually solo'ed by Vizima. True story.

Yeah, if it wasn't clear to you we're now 5/7 in Firelands, rawr
The bird kept eluding us for a while, but yesterday we came back (again) for a fresh night of tries and successfully shot her down! In fact, we effectively 9-manned the encounter as one of our warlocks had some serious connection issues (what a noob).

Just like Rhyolith this ended up being a bit of a side note while working on Alysrazor in the sense that it didn't take many tries to master. Mainly just getting DPS/healer rotations perfected and keeping it up throughout the entire fight (using a couple of seconds after the enrage timer helped too).
On a different note; stop messing up the kill shots guys! Yes, I am looking at your portal Vizima. And your Demonic Circle Raya. And whatever that shit floating in the background is!
And we didn't even get burned (a lot) - 3/7 FL

Decided to try out Rhyolith instead of Alysrazor for a change and that turned out to be a good decision.
Had a few wipes while learning to steer the boss, but after that it seemed to be piece of cake. Some deaths due to lava streams, but otherwise not too bad, so /dance.
Oh and also, we got "Not an Ambi-Turner" by accident. Random achievement is random, lol.

With Shannox down the obvious boss to go for next was Beth'tilac. Definitely not recommendable for those with arachnophobia or an urge to clean up spiderwebs.
In terms of tactics a fairly simple encounter, but it can be quite annoying to handle with the wrong kind of setup (we learned that the hard way).
When we returned yesterday with a different setup, however, we made it look easy. Just a couple of wipes while new people were getting the hang of it and trying different strategies before we landed the kill.
Good job everyone! Next target: big burning bird thingie!

Firelands is open and we're there! Obviously we picked Shannox as our first target because who likes hunters? That said, he does have some cute puppies, but we had to put them down as well. Rabies you know.
Seemed easy enough as we killed him on my second attempt, but that might have been because everyone else had practiced (and wiped) several times before I joined the raid. Or maybe I'm just that awesome, who knows?
Actually I know and it is definitely because I'm that awesome.

After our success with Atramedes we returned for more heroic fun - starting with Halfus Wyrmbreaker. This has to be the easiest heroic mode considering we killed him in just two tries - which in turn gave us good time to work on Heroic Chimaeron.
Had some pretty good tries (not counting some extremely messed up phase 2 transitions *cough*), so he (it?) should hopefully be down before the week is over.

With last weeks success of clearing all the normal modes it was time to get to grips with the first heroic modes. We picked Atramedes as our first target and got to work. Not much different from the normal mode version, it was just a matter of time and a bit of practice before we landed the kill.
Enough said, first heroic mode boss down, rawr!
Now 12/12 normal modes!

Another raid successfully done, another raid instance cleared. Yesterday the inhabitants of The Throne of the Four Winds fell to our raiders without any trouble. That takes Frenzy to 12/12 in our first week of raiding, good job guys!
So what now? Well, patch 4.2 which most people expected to be around next week will take another week, so that gives us time for a heroic mode or two.
On a different note; login box on the frontpage now works, marvel in it's sexyness (the login/logout buttons will be styled for even more sexyness later)!

The first raid in Frenzy has been successfully done and it went quite smooth I might add.
We started off in The Bastion of Twilight and made swift progress through the ranks of the twilight hold. Needless to say, Cho'gall didn't stand much better chance than his minions. Following the Cho'gall kill we paid a visit to the lair of Nefarian, Blackwing Descent. Different raid instance, same story; we finished off the place with two very dead dragons and called it a day.
That takes Frenzy to 10/12 on our first raid night and with a bit of luck we should have cleared the normal mode content by the end of the week - just in time for Firelands!
Oh and don't forget: Join us, we have cookies.

Currently Frenzy raid progression is looking rather... Unimpressive. Is it because we're just THAT bad? Well, not really - as stated on the About Frenzy page Frenzy is a newly formed guild and we have not yet had the chance to actually raid in the guild.
For those who pay a visit to Battle.net to look up our roster on the Armory the result will also be quite worrying. To make a long story short - almost all of the raiders in Frenzy are moving from another guild, but before then we wanted to make a list tribute to the guild and clear all normal mode content (which we did) and the migration will happen pretty soon.
In effect that means Frenzy has a total of 9 raiders available - all capable of clearing 12/12 normal modes (and more so I might add) - and just need a few more good players to make a grand entrance into the Firelands.
Before that happens we would, however, like to pay the current raids a visit and clear as many bosses as we possible can before the Firelands is released. So go on then, get them applications posted already!

The web page is (somewhat) up and running!
As some of you may have noticed there's been happening a couple of things on the web page the last day or two. Recruitment and progression have been added to the frontpage, about has been written, a lot of forum posts have been updated etc.
There's still a lot of work to do, however, so stay patient and be aware that there are still empty pages (progression) and things that do not work (forum login from frontpage).
Among the things that ARE working, check out the mouseover tooltip in the progression box - it's so sexy I jizzed a little bit in my pants! (Yes I know it says "Alive" for all the bosses, shut up already!)
